Researchers in the Department of Psychology at the University of Windsor are seeking a Research Associate to oversee and manage the research activities and resources across 4 sites for a randomized controlled trial (RCT) of the effectiveness of a sexual assault resistance education program for adolescent girls. The Research Associate is paid through a 5-year Public Health Agency of Canada grant awarded to Drs. Charlene Senn and Sara Crann (2018-2023). Research participant recruitment into the RCT begins in September 2020 and runs until January 2023. The ideal candidate will hold this position until the end of the grant (September 2023).

The successful candidate will report to Dr. Charlene Senn, Professor, Canada Research Chair (Tier I), Department of Psychology and Women’s and Gender Studies. The successful candidate will be located in (or will relocate to) Windsor, Ontario.

Essential Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (PhD or Masters) in social science or health science discipline
• Five years experience in a research environment with experience or sufficient background in the logic and critical features of experimental design
• Experience supervising research assistants
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Research ethics application experience
• Quantitative data analysis skills
• Proficient in SPSS and MS Office applications
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with research team members, community partners, and other project stakeholders
• Ability to work independently, to set and schedule priorities, to anticipate and meet deadlines, and to perform and cope well with multiple responsibilities, tasks, and priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Research publication and academic presentation history
• Background and/or experience with issues related to violence against women
• Research grant and budgetary experience
• Qualitative data analysis skills
