The Faculty wishes to appoint someone who is able to contribute to its teaching programme in core areas of social psychology. An ability to teach social cognition and to make a contribution to the teaching of research methods would be regarded as an advantage. The person appointed will also be expected to contribute to the research activities in psychology in the Faculty. Sociological and psychological research in the Faculty was rated 5 in the most recent (2001) UK Research Assessment Exercise. The appointment is available from 1st September 2002. The salary for this appointment will be on a scale ranging from £20,470 to £24,435 per annum, depending on age and experience.
