| Postdoctoral Position | | | | | | | A postdoctoral position is available within a collaborative team involving he University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the University of Pennsylvania. This position involves participating in a multi-disciplinary project of Text Data Mining, particularly using approaches in Natural Language Processing and Statistical Machine Learning, with the aim of addressing public health and policy questions. This position involves working closely with researchers in Psychology, Computer Science, and Public Policy (see below for a list of key collaborators). The successful candidate will collaborate with other researchers to analyze large-scale data sets, develop algorithms, and prepare scientific manuscripts and grant applications. The data analysis will involve massive social media data, survey responses, and health outcomes. This position offers opportunities to contribute to the design of new semantic features and novel methods to meet the unique analytical challenges of social media data.
