Faculty Position in Social Psychology
Department of Psychology
Texas Tech University

The Department of Psychology at Texas Tech University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Social Psychology for Fall 2002. The position is approved at the Assistant Professor level, but we will consider applications from exceptional candidates at the Associate or Full Professor level who have established a strong program of research with a record of consistent research funding. Scholars from under-represented groups are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates must have the Ph.D. degree by August, 2002. The position requires effective undergraduate and graduate teaching, department service, and a nationally recognized research program.

The specialty area within social psychology is open, but there is some preference for expertise in methodology as well as a substantive area. Currently, broad research emphases within the program include in close relationships (Clyde Hendrick) , social cognition (Darcy Reich), and groups (Dick McGlynn).
