| PhD Scholarship | | | | | | | The Laboratory Sport and Social Environment at University Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France, is hiring a PhD student on a project investigating how to change health behaviors of heart disease patients. The aim of the project is to identify the key processes involved in the adoption of health behaviors (physical activity, tobacco, diet, drug treatment) by heart disease patients and test the effectiveness of behavioral change techniques. The position is for 3 years. Start date would be around September 1st, 2015. We are looking for a motivated candidate who can join our collaborative team. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in social psychology (more particularly theories of motivation and/or health behaviors) , in quantitative methods (more particularly experimental designs and/or longitudinal designs), and strong English skills. University Joseph Fourier (UJF) is located in Grenoble in the Rhône-Alpes region, which is the 2nd French region in terms of research activities. UJF is a public Higher Education Institution in the field of science, technology and healthcare. It is ranked in the TOP150 of the Shanghai rankings and in the TOP200 in the Times Higher Education ranking, among the five best-ranked French universities. It is one of the major actors that make the city of Grenoble an internationally recognized scientific center.
