Individuals with a background and interests in stereotyping and prejudice are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates must have a strong record of research and must demonstrate the potential to obtain support for and maintain an active research program. Strong teaching skills are also an important requirement. Candidates will be expected to teach a course of stereotyping and prejudice, to collaborate with other faculty members with similar interests, and to mentor undergraduate and graduate students. Applicants should send a vita, a statement of research and teaching interests, reprints of recent publications, and three letters of recommendation to Social/Personality Search Committee, Department of Psychology, University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA 01003. Review of applications will begin December 1, 2001 and will continue until the position is filled. Hiring is contingent upon the availability of funds.
