The position is funded by a grant to Drs. Jeff Stone (Psychology) and Gordon Moskowitz (Lehigh University) to investigate the role of implicit bias in creating health disparities for Hispanic patients. The primary duties include developing/designing experiments on implicit bias, facilitating the recruitment of participants and collection of data, scoring and analyzing data, and writing manuscripts. There exists the opportunity to pursue additional research projects. The position is funded for one year and renewable dependent on availability of funds and satisfactory performance. Successful applicants will have demonstrated research interests and experience in implicit cognition, strong experimental and statistical training, and a record of publishing outstanding research. A Ph.D. in Social Psychology or a related behavioral discipline must be completed prior to starting this position. The start date is August 1, 2013.
