| Assistant Professor in Psychology | | | | | | | The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Emerson College seeks to fill a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank in Psychology. The initial appointment is for the 2013-14 academic year beginning August 28, 2013. Qualifications and Duties: • Doctorate in Social Psychology or Community Psychology at the time of appointment. • A commitment to and demonstrated excellence in undergraduate instruction. The candidate must be able to teach courses in the areas of social psychology and cross-cultural psychology. Other teaching responsibilities might include general psychology, research methods, and upper-level courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. The candidate must have the ability to teach undergraduate students who come from a variety of academic perspectives. • A demonstrated ability to establish and sustain an active and productive research program, with scholarly interests that complement and extend the current strengths of the Psychology Program. • An ability to contribute to the curricular development of the Psychology Minor and emerging interdisciplinary programs at the College. • Willingness to contribute to the broader institution through service on departmental and college-wide committees.
