| Postdoctoral Researcher or PhD Student | | | | | | | The Knowledge Media Research Center (KMRC) in Tübingen, Germany, investigates knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, and collaboration with modern communication media. The Center is a member of the Leibniz Association and is committed to international scientific standards. For the EU research project "MIRROR - Reflective Learning at Work" we are looking for a highly motivated psychological researcher as a doctoral student (part-time, 50%) or as a postdoctoral researcher (full-time, 100%). The position is available immediately with a limited contract (until 30 June 2014). MIRROR (http://www.mirror-project.eu/) is a collaborative project funded by the European Commission that is developing computer applications (“apps”) that support reflective learning in organizational contexts, in collaboration with several partners from across Europe. The KMRC is especially involved in developing the theory and in the evaluation of MIRROR apps. Responsibilities: · Design and implement summative evaluation of MIRROR apps in our varied testbeds (including nursing homes, hospitals, and IT companies) · Conduct high level experimental research and analysis · Contribute to theory development within the project (learning through reflection) · Contribute to project management (reporting, financial planning, etc.) · Participate in project meetings in Germany and abroad · Present project results at leading national and international conferences · Write reports and papers for publication in international journals Requirements: We welcome applications of postgraduate as well as post-doctoral candidates who are interested in technology-enhanced learning and knowledge management within organizations. Applicants should have an outstanding university degree or PhD in organizational, educational, or media psychology or a related discipline. Good knowledge of empirical research methods and evaluation approaches is necessary for this position. Proficiency in German is highly desired but not required.
