| Two Postdoctoral Research Associate Positions | | | | | | | An exciting opportunity exists for two Postdoctoral Research Associates to work alongside Dr. Thomas Webb on an ERC-funded research project that will investigate when and why people fail to monitor their goal progress. Although the successful candidates will share core skills, each post has a slightly different focus. The first candidate will have experience using qualitative as well as quantitative methodologies and have experience working in field contexts. You will take the lead on studies involving these methods and be responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting a series of studies involving interview acmethodologies, survey work, lab-based experiments, and field studies; including working with diabetics and dieters. The second candidate will have experience conducting research using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI), designing computer-based experiments, and ideally some experience using eye-tracking equipment and/or measuring psychophysiological reactivity (e.g., heart-rate and skin conductance). You will take the lead on studies involving these methods and be responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting a series of studies involving fMRI, lab-based experiments, and eye-tracking. The posts are fixed-term and available immediately on a full-time basis until 31st October 2015. The closing date for applications is Monday 21st November 2011.
