The Department of Behavioral Sciences (Psychology Discipline) at the University of Michigan-Dearborn invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in social psychology, to begin September 1, 2012. The ideal candidate will have expertise in group processes with an interest in applied issues that intersect with other disciplines (e.g., environmental psychology, health promotion, political psychology). Evidence of teaching excellence and research potential is required. In addition to teaching a general course in social psychology, several of the following courses would be desirable: group processes, psychology of leadership, applied psychology, research methods, statistics, and introductory psychology. A willingness to support undergraduate and graduate research is also expected. Candidates for this position must have earned a PhD degree or equivalent by September 1, 2012.
