This position requires a doctorate in Psychology, (with an emphasis on research methodology, database creation and maintenance, measurement, and advanced statistical analysis) and expertise in training, occupational selection and personality theory. The position involves the design and accomplishment of studies examining the effectiveness of psychological screening tests in predicting career success in the submarine service. The successful candidate must demonstrate good communication skills to interact with various agencies for acquiring information, and quantitative skills to analyze and modify scoring procedures, and develop new testing methods. A strong background in scientific research and statistics is required, including the ability to use SPSS and other statistical analysis packages.
