The Honors Program at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah, invites applications for a full-time teaching position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the field of Human Neuroscience to work with its select group of motivated, high-achieving students in its interdisciplinary Honors program. The teaching load consists of three 4-credit hour classes per semester, which might include core team-taught interdisciplinary Honors seminars like “Science, Power, and Diversity,” “The History and Philosophy of Science,” and “Human Culture and Behavior.” Opportunities would also exist to occasionally teach an interdisciplinary upper-level Honors seminar of the candidate’s own design and/or individual departmental classes like “Introduction to Brain and Behavior” and “Physiological Psychology.” Honors faculty are also expected to mentor students outside the classroom and help support the program’s many learning community initiatives during the academic year.
