| Assistant Professor | | | | | | | The Department of Psychology seeks applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Social Psychology. Area of specialization is open. The department has 500 undergraduate majors, 170 graduate students, and 34 full-time faculty members. Faculty members in the department are expected to supervise theses in their area of specialization and teach courses at all levels for both graduate and undergraduate students. Faculty in the department typically teach one large and one small course per semester and maintain an active program of research. Regardless of area, many faculty in the department also teach courses in introductory psychology, research methods, or statistics. Qualifications for the position include a Ph.D. (or ABD with Ph.D. imminent) in Social Psychology, openness to teaching at all levels based on department needs, and a record and promise of developing a strong program of research. The position begins August 16, 2012. Salary is competitive.
