The ANU Department of Psychology is seeking a Research Fellow and a Postdoctoral Fellow to support existing expertise in the psychology of social and behavioural change. Postdoctoral Fellow (Academic Level A)

This position will contribute to our ongoing research on an ARC funded Linkage project entitled "Understanding the school as an intergroup system: Implications for school reform and improving student and staff outcomes." This offers the opportunity to work on a collaborative project between the ANU Department of Psychology and ACT Department of Education and Training. The project is now progressing to a communication phase where the successful candidate will support the research team in data analysis, drafting of papers and policy-related reports, and presentations. Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant social science discipline. Proficiency in quantitative methodological skills as well as an ability to apply structural equation modelling to longitudinal data is required. Your exemplary communication skills will set you apart for this role as you will be involved in the preparation of publications and presentations for an academic as well as policy audience. Research Fellow (Academic Level B)

This position works with A/Professor Kate Reynolds and Dr Emina Subasic in the area of Theory and Practice of Social and Behaviour Change to facilitate and support an expansion of existing research-policy partnerships in this area. The role presents a unique opportunity to develop research projects at the interface between social psychology and policy domains. The specific aim is to consolidate current projects with Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC), Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FAHCSIA) and ACT Department of Education and also broaden the scope to areas where this social psychological expertise is particularly relevant (e.g., where there is existing conflict between groups or a need for sustained behavioural change such as in health and climate change). We are seeking applicants with an interest in social and behavioural change research with direct links to policy contexts. Furthermore applicants will have experience and/or capacity to conduct field (experimental, longitudinal) research and will be passionate about seeing such research come alive in applied, policy-relevant settings.
