The Department of Psychology at Rice University is advertising for a 2-Year Temporary Lecturer Position, to begin at the start of the 2011 academic year on Monday, August 22, 2011. In Fall 2011, you will teach 2 sections of Introduction to Social Psychology (PSYC 202); in Spring 2012, you will teach 2 sections of Research Methods (PSYC 340) and 1 section of Emotion/Motivation (PSYC 353). Teaching for the second year of this position will likely be similar to the first year; however, renewal for the second year of this position is conditional on satisfactory performance in the first year. Salary is $52,000 per year, plus fringe benefits.

The minimum education requirement is a Ph.D. in Psychology.
