The Department of Psychology at the University of Auckland invites applications for a Lectureship/Senior Lectureship in Social Psychology (equivalent to a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor) level to begin in May 2011. The successful applicant will have a PhD in Psychology. Depending on the time since graduation we are seeking someone with a strong record of publishing research in social psychology (broadly construed). Experience of supervising research students and teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels is desirable, as is a history of attracting external research funding. The successful applicant should expect to contribute to the Department’s teaching in social psychology, to develop a research program, to carry a full graduate supervision load, and to contribute to service roles within the Department and Faculty. S/he should ideally be able to commence duties by 1 May 2011.
