Please help spread the word about our open junior faculty position in lovely Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Read on for details. The Department of Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in social psychology to start July 1, 2011. Successful candidates may specialize in any area of social psychology, though we are especially interested in applicants with research programs that complement the program’s existing strengths in either topic or approach. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) relationships/dyadic or group processes, race/culture, emotions/attitudes, health/well-being, judgment/decision-making, or behavioral change/self-regulation. Approaches of interest include (but are not limited to) social neuroscience, social cognition, social genomics, psychoneuroimmunology, or psychophysiology. Successful candidates will have a strong record of research productivity, the potential to develop an independent, externally-funded research program that involves doctoral students, and a commitment to teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
