McCready | Date Posted: | April 28th, 1999 | Closing Date: | June 15th, 1999 | | | | | | | | Position Available Northern Illinois University's Public Opinion Laboratory announces an opening for Associate Director who will be responsible for oversight and leadership in research design, assessment methodologies, data collection systems, survey techniques, and data analysis and interpretation. The successful applicant should have the demonstrated ability to initiate and manage survey projects; to write successful proposals and responses to RFPs from a variety of funding sources; to write technical and substantive reports based on survey data; and to work constructively with staff and clients. This position is a full-time 12-month administrative position and may be a tenure-track appointment depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience. Applicants should have an earned doctorate in a social science field; a demonstrated record of published research, including technical reports and/or publications in appropriate outlets; and a minimum of five years of experience in a social science survey research organization at a professional and/or administrative level.
