The Psychology Department provides its students with a broad education in the biological, cognitive, and social science aspects of the discipline and its honours students with the opportunity to collaborate with faculty in independent research projects. The position is in the area of Personality. Candidates should have a completed Ph.D. in this subdiscipline of Psychology and a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and research. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at both introductory and advanced levels in the psychology of personality. The ability to teach courses in History of Psychology and/or Advanced Design and Analysis would be an advantage. The successful candidate will also be expected to establish and maintain an active research programme, and supervise students conducting research. The appointment will be made at the rank of Assistant Professor and will commence on July 1, 2001. The 2001-02 annual salary range for Assistant Professor is $45,063 - $63,890.
