We welcome applications from researchers in any area of social psychology. The department has an existing strength in the application of complexity and dynamical systems to personal, interpersonal, and collective processes, but outstanding candidates applying other approaches to the study of social psychology will also be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with strong quantitative skills who could teach statistics courses. We anticipate hiring at the assistant professor level, although outstanding candidates of higher rank will also be considered. The successful candidates will be expected to maintain a productive, externally funded research program and to contribute to graduate and undergraduate teaching. Applicants must have a PhD in psychology or a related area at the time of appointment, and postdoctoral experience is desirable. The application deadline is September 30th, 2010.
