| Psychophysiology Investigator | | | | | | | Draper Laboratory is seeking a knowledgeable investigator to lead research programs that utilize human signals from physiological sensors to interpret psychological state. Qualified candidates should be able to generate hypotheses based on theoretical knowledge and recently published research, develop research plans, coordinate resources, and direct staff in project execution. Duties of this position will include: developing experimental protocols, managing Institutional Review Board applications and approvals, supervising the recruitment and testing of human subjects, analyzing and interpreting experimental data, performing statistical analyses, and summarizing conclusions in publications and presentations to sponsors. This is a very interactive and interdisciplinary position interfacing with Draper staff, expert academic collaborators, and program sponsors. The candidate should also have strong data management, processing, and statistical skills, particularly for psychological and/or behavioral data, and should have expertise in applying signal processing, feature development, and feature extraction techniques to data sets. Qualifications: Minimum BS degree, Ph.D. preferred in psychology, sociology, anthropology or related social science with 1 to 3 years experience in behavioral analysis. Expertise with physiological sensors and signals, human testing, and statistics, particularly multivariate analysis, is required. Proficiency with statistical packages and techniques (specifically SPSS, hierarchical linear modeling, and structural equation modeling) and Matlab is desired.
