The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine has an opening in its Environmental Health Group at the Hygiene Centre within the Disease Control and Vector Biology Unit. The post-holder will be responsible to Dr. Valerie Curtis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

--Develop and manage a growing programme of experimental and naturalistic research on persuasive communication and human motivation, particularly with relevance to developing effective messages/interventions to influence everyday hygiene behaviours

--Ensure that research findings are published in reputable journals, and other appropriate vehicles (such as scientific press)

--Network and attend international meetings in order to increase awareness of the Hygiene Centre’s agenda and approach to studying behaviour change

--Contribute (where appropriate) to the teaching of the School’s taught course and research training programmes

--Play an active part in the academic life of the School and participate in departmental and unit activities

--Undertake other duties as may reasonably be required
