The successful candidate must be committed to teaching community psychology and courses in his or her area of expertise (e.g., intergroup relations, community health, drug addiction, homelessness, access and accommodation). Candidates must be able to establish a community-based research program that includes mentoring undergraduate research, and should also demonstrate interest in service-learning and partnering with the broader community to create and monitor internship opportunities. Candidates should also demonstrate interest in teaching in the research methods/statistics sequence, and be willing to teach in Elon’s interdisciplinary General Studies program. The applicant should have a Ph.D. in Psychology by August, 2010.
