Full Professor of Social Psychology
(Full-time, F/M, Tenured)

Main responsibilities:
The professor will initiate further research and participate in teaching of the department. The professor will conduct research, supervise PhD students, cooperate with senior and junior staff members in research and will have an active role in (inter)national research fundraising. In addition, the successful candidate will contribute to teaching programs at the Bachelor’s and Master’s level and will perform administrative functions on the department or faculty level. More specifically, he or she will be a member of the Management Team of the department Social Psychology and act as program director of the Master of Social Psychology.

Qualifications:
We are looking for experienced scholars with an established international research and teaching reputation in social psychology and with managerial experience in research coaching and fund raising. The successful candidate has the following qualifications:
• PhD in Social Psychology or related areas.
• Passionate researcher/teacher.
• Authority in the field as evidenced by high quality publications in scientific journals.
• Experience and affinity with teaching in the area of Social Psychology.
• Willing and able to support colleagues (in conducting research, publishing papers, teaching, and applying for external funding).
• Proven managerial and international networking qualities
• Profound knowledge of English.
• For non-Dutch candidates: able and willing to settle in the Netherlands.
• For non-Dutch candidates: readiness to learn Dutch.
