The Harvard University Department of Psychology and the Committee on Degrees in Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality anticipate making a joint tenure-track appointment at the assistant or untenured associate professor level to begin on July 1, 2009. We seek scholars who engage in interdisciplinary teaching and research at the intersections of psychology and studies of women, gender, and/or sexuality. The field of specialization is open, but we are particularly interested in candidates whose research in psychology includes developmental, social, cognitive, and/or clinical psychology or behavioral neuroscience, and who bring to that specialization an equally vibrant commitment to theoretical and empirical understandings of women, gender, and sexuality.

A strong doctoral record is required, and candidates should have demonstrated a promise of excellence in both research and teaching. Teaching duties will include offerings at both undergraduate and graduate levels as well as thesis advising. Candidates should submit a letter of introduction, curriculum vitae, a writing sample representative reprints of published chapters and/or articles), and at least three letters of recommendation to: Chair, Committee on Degrees in Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality, Boylston Hall, Ground Floor, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA 02138. Deadline for application: November 1, 2008; review of applications will begin October 15, 2008.
