The Department of Psychology and Social Behavior at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor. The areas of expertise for the candidate search are affective disorders, psychotic disorders, or co-occurring severe mental illness and substance abuse. The department has a longstanding commitment to interdisciplinary scholarship and the application of theoretically-grounded research to social problems.

Candidates must have a Ph.D., a strong record of research, and demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching. The department does not offer training in clinical psychology but has a graduate program concentration in psychopathology. Research experience with clinical populations is required, and research experience with interventions is desirable.
