The American Studies Program at Wesleyan University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in queer studies, specializing in race as a category of analysis. Appointment would be jointly held with Psychology, Anthropology or Religion. Candidates should be able to teach courses in queer theory and methodology, as well as electives on United States topics, but applicants who specialize in Canada or the Pacific, or who work on transnational topics, are also encouraged to apply. PhD must be in hand, or near completion, by July 2008.
