The Department of Psychology at Misericordia University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position for appointment in Fall 2008. A Ph.D. in Social Psychology or Cognitive Psychology is required; area of specialization is open. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in social and/or cognitive psychology, research methods, introductory psychology, and others as needed; normal teaching load is 4:4. Preference will be given to those with teaching experience, and a program of research that can involve undergraduate students.

Misericordia University, an 83-year-old institution founded by the Sisters of Mercy of Dallas, offering baccalaureate and master’s degrees is located adjacent to the Pocono Mountains region of Northeastern Pennsylvania, approximately 2 hours from New York City, and Philadelphia.
