| Social Psychology -- Assistant Professor | | | | | | | The Psychology department at LEHIGH UNIVERSITY invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, effective Fall 2008. We seek a social psychologist whose core research interests are in self and identity. We are especially interested in scholars who address some facet of collective identity and whose work therefore has relevance to group behavior or intergroup relations. Preference will be given to candidates with a cognitive orientation (broadly construed). The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a vigorous research program that will attract external funding and contribute to the department’s distinctive undergraduate and Ph.D. programs (see www.lehigh.edu/~inpsy/inpsy.html). Ability to contribute to Lehigh's Globalization and Social Change initiative is also desirable.
