It is planned for the Assistant Professor level, although under exceptional circumstances a higher rank may be considered. Individuals with strong research records appropriate to a research-oriented doctoral program, and who have strong commitments and demonstrated potential to achieve excellence in teaching and research supervision of undergraduate and graduate students, are encouraged to apply. We are seeking a faculty member to join our new doctoral program in health psychology. We will consider applications from candidates with a variety of backgrounds, including but not limited to social, biological, and clinical psychology, as well as public health. Excellent candidates with strong research programs in any area of health psychology will be given serious consideration. We have special interest in genomic approaches, life-course approaches to health and disease, social epidemiology research, and individuals who have a strong quantitative background with substantive health interests. The starting salary for the position will be commensurate with experience. The University of British Columbia is committed to employment equity and hires on the basis of merit.
