The Department of Psychology at Western Washington University is seeking candidates for an assistant professor, tenure track position in Social Psychology to begin September 16, 2008. The candidate will be expected to teach a range of undergraduate courses in Social Psychology, and additional undergraduate courses that may include Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods, Statistics, or Cross-cultural Psychology. The candidate also should be prepared to teach Social Psychology in a Masters level Experimental Psychology graduate program. Ability to teach undergraduate and Masters level courses in statistics and measurement is highly desirable.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Social Psychology completed by September 2008, evidence of successful teaching in psychology, an active research program in social psychology, a demonstrated ability to involve students in research, and a publication record commensurate with experience. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to teach at both the undergraduate and master's degree level and have a commitment to excellence in teaching. Experience working with diverse students and faculty is desired. Salary is competitive and dependent upon qualifications.
