The Department of Psychology, University of Toronto Scarborough, invites applications for a two-year contractually limited term appointment in Social/Personality Psychology. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting September 1, 2007 and ending August 31, 2009.

Applicants must have a PhD or be close to completion. Candidates will be expected to teach four semester-long undergraduate courses and to be active in research.

We seek a candidate capable of excellent teaching in the social/personality area and in related areas of psychology. The candidate will need expertise appropriate to teaching courses in social psychology, cultural psychology, and personality. Expertise in general areas of psychology such as scientific writing and methodology are an asset. The candidate will be expected to supervise undergraduate research projects in his or her area of specialization. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Interested applicants should submit a complete vita that includes a statement of teaching experience and interest, and copies of teaching evaluations. Applicants should arrange to have three letters of recommendation that include comments on teaching ability, sent from referees.
