| Psychology Instructor/Lecturer | | | | | | | The University of Central Florida. We are currently seeking to fill a recently opened Instructor/Lecturer position (number 32369) in the Psychology Department at the Orlando campus. This is a nine-month, non-tenure earning position that will begin August 8, 2007. Candidates must have at least a master’s degree in psychology, from an accredited university, by the time of the start date. Specialty field is open, but successful candidates must be able to teach a range of advanced undergraduate courses. Principle duties will to be provide instructional support in core preparation areas (e.g., Research Methods, Basic Learning and Physiological Psychology) and in the areas of restricted (e.g., Social Psychology) and diversity electives (e.g., Cross-Cultural Psychology, Psychology of Women). UCF, with its hub in Orlando, is a dynamic and growing research and teaching-oriented metropolitan and regional institution with more than 46,000 students. The department is the largest in the College of Sciences with 45 full-time faculty members, over 2600 undergraduate majors, and nearly 150 Ph.D. graduate students in Clinical, Human Factors/Applied Experimental, and Industrial/Organizational Programs. The main campus of UCF is located near downtown Orlando on a 1200-acre campus within one hour of the Atlantic Ocean, Kennedy Space Center, Disney World complex and other entertainment and cultural attractions.
