The Department of Psychology of the New School for Social Research invites applications for a postdoctoral position with starting date of August 1, 2007. The department includes a thriving community of scholars with active research programs in social, cognitive, developmental, cultural, political and clinical psychology and is part of a graduate school in the social sciences with a long and distinguished tradition of intellectual excellence, critical thinking and commitment to inter-disciplinary work.
Pending budgetary approval, the position offered is for a two-year term, with possible extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, at the MA and PhD level, of three statistics courses per year (basic, intermediate and advanced) as well as for providing statistical advising in the department. Office space, computing resources and access to the electronic and other resources of the university will be made available. The salary is competitive with postdoctoral positions in New York City.
