The School of Psychology was established in 1938, and has a strong track record in both research and teaching. The School comprises 17 academic staff, 4 technical staff and 2 administrative staff. More information about the School is available at its home page:

The University is located in the city of Armidale, a picturesque centre in northern New South Wales surrounded by several national parks, with frequent air connections to Sydney and Brisbane. Housing in the area is affordable and the schools are excellent. The appointee will be expected to be active researchers and contribute to the administrative activities of the University, in addition to carrying out their teaching duties.

LECTURER IN PSYCHOLOGY

(Tenurable Position No. 459)

The appointee to this position will teach in the undergraduate program and provide research supervision. Applications will be considered from any area of psychology, but the School will look at the areas of expertise of the applicants to determine how the expertise would fit into the teaching and research profile of the School. The minimum qualification for this position is a PhD. Some teaching experience is considered essential. Publications in refereed journals are considered essential, and a track record of successfully applying for grants would be an advantage.

Salary: $48,333 to $57,396 per annum (Level B)
