Hi, and welcome to my site!

My name is Alex, I'm from Europe and I'm a professional Software Engineer. I've studied Computer Sciences and finished recently with my studies. For me, learning is one of the most enjoyable things in life. Therefore, I've picked the Social Psychology Course on Coursera, because it's not only very well prepared but also useful for everyday life. In my honest opinion, Coursera is the second big revolution in education after Wikipedia and has the power to change the world.

In my free time, I'm a passionate musician. I've been playing the piano since I was a small child, added the guitar when I played in my first band at the age of 16 and recently added the drums - just because it's awesome to play a rhythmic instrument. My dream is to unify the two worlds: Software Engineering and Music. Programming an app that can sight-play printed music has already brought me one step closer to this goal.

Finally, I like to read books and a few weeks ago, I've started the fantastic series "Songs of Ice and Fire" by George R. R. Martin, also known as Game of Thrones. There is nothing as good, as a good book before going to bed. :-)
