Georgetown University Tenure-Track Position in Cultural Psychology: The Department of Psychology at Georgetown University anticipates a tenure-track assistant professor position, effective August 1, 2007. We are searching for a candidate who has a background in cultural psychology with a research program that may have public policy implications, in areas such as family psychology, U.S. ethnic groups and acculturation, stereotype threat, and minority-majority relations. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Psychology. Successful applicants should be prepared to bring an active research program to the department and to teach courses in cultural psychology, as well as general psychology, our introductory course. Excellent teaching skills, a strong publication record, and previous demonstration of funding will be advantageous.
The Psychology Department offers an undergraduate degree in psychology, an Honors Program, and a doctoral degree with a concentration in Human Development and Public Policy or Lifespan Cognitive Neuroscience. For more information about our program, visit our web site at:
