Bilkent University invites applications for a faculty position in Social/Personality Psychology. Bilkent is an independent, non-profit, research-oriented university in Ankara, Turkey. Language of instruction is English. The Department of Psychology at Bilkent has been newly formed and the first intake of students will be in September 2005. Appointments in all areas of psychology are ongoing. The start date therefore is flexible although applicants for a September 2005 start date are encouraged. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in Social/Personality Psychology or expect to get it by the start date of the post. Review of applications will be ongoing until the position is filled, so a speedy, if informal, contact is encouraged. Salaries and rank of appointments will be commensurate with credentials. Fully furnished and rent-free housing on campus is among the fringe benefits. Teaching load will be two courses per semester. Members of the department may also have the chance to interact with other Bilkent researchers in areas such as organisational behaviour, marketing, and international affairs.
