SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY. The Department of Psychology at Texas Christian University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor for the academic year beginning August 2004. We are looking for a prolific researcher who has enthusiasm for undergraduate and graduate teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to supervise Ph.D. students, publish in the top journals, and obtain extramural research funding. The usual teaching load is two courses per semester, and the new Assistant Professor will be expected to offer social psychological courses that support a University initiative in leadership. The Psychology Department (www.psy.tcu.edu) currently consists of 13 full-time faculty who are the most productive researchers in a six-state region. A new social psychological research facility is being opened in the Fall of 2003, with extensive lab space and state-of-the art equipment. Our Ph.D. program emphasizes traditional experimental topics: social psychology, cognitive psychology, neuroscience, and learning. Texas Christian University is located in the 10th largest metropolitan area in the U.S. Here world-class museums adjoin the most affordable housing in the country.
