Job Description:

Kurkowski Market Research is a national leader in qualitative market research consulting. Kurkowski specializes in the pharmaceutical industry. The majority of Kurkowski’s clients are Fortune 500 companies.

Kurkowski is currently looking for new Project Directors (the number of positions available are yet to be determined). As a Project Director, you will work directly with clients in a broad range of treatment areas. Topics we are commonly asked to research include:

--Concept Testing (gauging reactions to advertising concepts)

--Assessment of the impact of a new product/product change

--Evaluation of competitive messages

--White Paper Testing

--Assessment of Sales Representative Performance

As a Project Director, you will be responsible for all phases of research, including development of the discussion guide, moderation, and the completion of an executive summary and/or final report.

Compensation for Project Directors will be based on background/experience. After several years, successful Project Directors will be eligible for to become a partner and take part in the firm’s profit-sharing program.

Job Requirements:

Education

BA/BS minimum, MA/MS a plus (psychology or related background helpful but not necessary). If relevant, please include related coursework.

Experience

Related experience in marketing or research (quantitative/qualitative) will be considered favorably but is not necessary. It is possible that the most appropriate candidate for this position will have little or no experience in marketing or research.

Personal Attributes

--Self-starter. Qualified candidates must be motivated individuals.

--Communications Skills. Moderators must be well-spoken and possess the ability to think on their feet. The ability to absorb and synthesize information is a necessity. In addition, moderators must be good listeners.

--Statistical/Quantitative Abilities. While not necessary, the ability to quickly dissect numbers is considered a plus.

--Leadership Skills. Moderators must be able to effectively communicate with the office staff who will be assisting them.

--Entrepreneurial Spirit.
