The Calvin College Psychology Department invites applications for two anticipated tenure-track positions beginning in August of 2013, pending administrative approval.

The positions require specialization in one or more of the following areas: clinical (preferably with an emphasis in health or cognitive / behavioral intervention), social, cognitive, learning, developmental, or the integration of scientific psychology and Christian philosophy/theology.

The positions involve teaching at the undergraduate level in the applicant’s area of specialization, as well as two out of the following courses: introductory psychology, statistics, and research methods. The typical teaching load is 3 classes each semester, usually involving 2 course preparations per semester with a total of 3-4 course preparations per academic year. The Calvin Psychology Department graduates approximately 60 psychology majors each year (65% of whom eventually earn advanced degrees).

Applicants should submit a one-page statement of their understanding of and commitment to Reformed Christianity.
