A postdoctoral research position is available at Princeton University to work with Dr. Nicole Shelton on grant-related research on interracial interactions and ethnic identity. The primary role of the postdoctoral researcher will be to analyze and write-up data from several existing data sets that include observational, diary and experimental lab data from interracial dyads, including strangers, roommates, and friends. The initial appointment will be for one year (start date can be as early as June 2012) but may be extended for a second year pending satisfactory performance and excellent progress toward project goals.
Essential Qualifications
The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in social psychology, strong skills in statistical analyses, including the ability to conduct dyadic, longitudinal, and dyadic longitudinal analyses, and excellent writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in some or all of the following areas is desirable but not essential: intergroup interactions, group identity, close relationships, and self-regulation.
