The University of Michigan’s National Center for Institutional Diversity (NCID) invites applications for its Institutional Diversity Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. This university-wide initiative seeks to advance the Center’s national commitment to institutional diversity; to promote its strategic agenda to bridge exemplary scholarship with multilevel engagement and innovation; and to help promote outstanding faculty candidates with strong commitments to diversity at U-M or other major research universities.
Successful candidates will be attractive as both an NCID Fellow and as a tenure-track or research faculty member. Application deadline is November 1, 2009, for a possible Fall 2010 start date. We especially invite applications from candidates whose interests in diversity issues reflect one or more of NCID’s eight core priority areas. Candidates from any background and from any field of study are welcome to apply. We particularly encourage applications from scholars from institutions other than the University of Michigan and whose work crosses interdisciplinary boundaries. Senior faculty are invited to nominate suitable candidates.
Application materials and nomination letters should be sent to NCIDpostdoc@umich.edu. Detailed information about the application process is available at:
