We are seeking a psychologist to join our growing health and wellness business based in our brand new, Florham Park, New Jersey, location. We are creating a healthcare prevention and treatment program that will offer a new and differentiated experience to our patients. We are integrating primary care medicine, nutrition, mental health therapy, and supervised fitness in a comprehensive program coordinated by a clinically trained wellness advisor. This is a total healthcare solution for those wanting to lose weight and get fit.

We are offering a strong disease management program with a particular focus on bariatric surgery clients. We are partnered with the leading bariatric surgeons in New Jersey to offer an integrated pre- and post-surgical program integrating medicine, nutrition, mental health, and fitness. In addition to bariatric clients, we also focus on the obese population and those related comorbidities. Mental health counseling is an integral part of the treatment for this clientele.

This position offers you the opportunity to counsel patients, collaborate with our outstanding team of physicians, dietitians, and exercise physiologists, work closely with many referring physicians and surgeons to coordinate client care and develop new treatment protocols.

The ideal candidate will share our passion for providing our clients outstanding results and delivering an outstanding client experience. We work hard and have fun so we value a strong work ethic and the ability to laugh. We also like those who are self-starters and take the initiative. We would expect that you are motivated to keep up with the latest developments and research in your field and that you embrace the healthy lifestyle that we espouse. You must have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from an APA-accredited university and must be licensed as a Clinical Psychologist by the New Jersey Board of Psychological Examiners. Computer proficiency (MS Windows and MS Office) is important.

We offer a very competitive salary and an attractive benefits package. In return, we would expect you to work at least 40 hours a week, including evenings (no later than 8:00 PM), contribute to the fun dynamics of our team, and bring plenty of energy, enthusiasm, passion, and a sense of humor to the table.

We are considered the pre-eminent weight management and disease management (including bariatric) provider in New Jersey. Over 300 physicians have referred to our program. We see over 150 new clients a month and average 80 patient visits per day in our eight established locations covering Iselin, Piscataway, Florham Park/Livingston, Toms River, Old Bridge, Lawrenceville, Syosset, NY, and Bensalem, PA.

If you’d like to be at the forefront of using mental health therapy, nutrition exercise, and medicine to turn back the tide of obesity and co-morbidities in our society, then send us an email (psychologist@kingleyinstitute.com) with your resume and cover letter attached and let’s see how we can work together.
