European Research College London (ERCL) is pleased to announce several full-time Junior Researcher positions aimed at establishing a strong academic presence in London. We seek talented early-career Economics and Business Studies and Psychological and Learning Sciences researchers to join our dynamic team.

POSITION OVERVIEW

These roles offer ambitious researchers the opportunity to conduct high-impact, independent research while participating in a strategic initiative to position ERCL as a leading research partner in the UK academic landscape. The positions emphasize research excellence, international collaboration, and professional growth within a supportive environment at our London venue.

KEY DETAILS

Position Title: Researcher (Postdoc)
Location: London, UK (onsite)
Salary: £40,000–50,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-time, two-year appointment with potential for extension based on performance
Start Date: September 2025

Responsibilities

AS A JUNIOR RESEARCHER, YOU WILL:

—Conduct independent research aligned with Economics and Business Studies and Psychological and Learning Sciences fields

—Develop high-impact research with the potential for publication in leading journals

—Contribute to ERCL’s strategic objectives by fostering international collaborations, particularly with UK institutions

—Participate in grant applications and external funding opportunities

—Submit at least two articles per year to high-ranking journals in relevant fields

—Engage in activities that enhance ERCL’s visibility within the UK academic ecosystem

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

—A PhD (completed in the past 10 years or near completion) from a top academic institution in relevant field

A solid track record of publications in high ranked journals appropriate to the length of professional experience

—Experience or interest in contributing to research grant applications

—Research interests aligned with Economics and Business Studies and Psychological and Learning Sciences

—A collaborative mindset and commitment to building ERCL’s academic presence in London

APPLICATION PROCESS

(2) 1-3 representative papers (job-market paper, working papers / preprints possible)

(3) Professional CV including a list of publications and research projects (including working papers, preprints) with your role in it

(4) A research proposal outlining your intended programme of work (maximum 2 pages)
