Joint Appeal to Support Social Psychology Network

A Call to Our Members:
Please Support Social Psychology Network

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter represents a joint appeal from the Society for Personality and Social Psychology (SPSP), the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues (SPSSI), the Society for General Psychology (APA Division 1), the Society of Experimental Social Psychology (SESP), the Asian Association of Social Psychology (AASP), the Society of Australasian Social Psychologists (SASP), the Canadian Psychological Association Social and Personality Section (CPA-SPS), and the British Psychological Society Social Psychology Section (BPS-SPS).

In a spirit of shared purpose, we are writing to ask our members to join Social Psychology Network, an international web portal and educational organization that serves our common interests through its online forums, searchable databases, news headlines, teaching materials, professional profiles, and other features. The annual cost of SPN membership is $20 for regular members and $10 for student members -- a modest fee that, if contributed by each member of our community, will help ensure the continued availability of these valuable resources.

Membership payments and contributions can be made through a convenient and secure credit card form or by postal mail. For details, please see:

http://www.socialpsychology.org/support.htm

From this page you can learn how membership dues are spent, why the funds are needed, and some of the ways that SPN advances our discipline. Even if you are not a frequent user of the web yourself, we ask that you support SPN in recognition of its role in promoting psychological science and creating an international infrastructure for students, researchers, and educators.

Please consider joining as soon as possible, and if you know of other colleagues or students who might be interested, please forward this note to them or consider giving them a gift membership. You may also direct any comments, questions, or concerns to Scott Plous (SPN Executive Director) or to any individual below.
