We are looking for a talented social, cognitive, developmental, or health psychologist to fill the following position:

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF PSYCHOLOGY

THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY AT WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Pullman, WA, with a specialty in Human Health. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will begin the appointment on August 15, 2017. We seek applicants with research interests connected to Human Stress and Resilience, who have research expertise that bridges between psychological and biological factors, and who can contribute to research on health disparities and underserved populations. Those with a lifespan, cognitive or social perspective are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will contribute to Washington State University’s Research Collaborative for Addressing Health Disparities, which involves diverse faculty conducting research on human health and health disparities across biological, psychological, family and community levels.

Job duties: include developing and maintaining a productive research program, seeking appropriate grant funding, mentoring graduate student research, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses on topics of social, cognitive, developmental psychology or quantitative methods, and collaborating with members of other departments and programs.

Qualifications: An earned doctoral degree in Psychology by the date of hire, a demonstrated record of research publication. Preferred qualifications include previous postdoctoral experience of 12 months. Applicants who worked with historically disadvantaged populations are especially valued.
