| Assistant Professor of Psychology and Law | | | | | | | THE UNIVERSITY OF WYOMING PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Psychology and Law, broadly defined, to begin August 2023. Position responsibilities include: graduate and undergraduate teaching (2:2 load), academic advising, research supervision of graduate students, and the development of a productive research program. PhD by August 31, 2023, and all PhD program requirements but dissertation completed prior to applying. 2. Research productivity, as demonstrated by number and quality of publications in peer-reviewed journals. 3. Evidence of experience teaching at the collegiate level. 4. Evidence of research at the intersection of psychology and law, broadly defined. 5. All application materials from the applicant must be submitted (see below). Preferred Qualifications: 1. Ability to contribute to overlapping programs in Social Psychology and/or Cognitive Psychology, such as by teaching courses that contribute to these programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. 2. Applicants with an ability to contribute to an overarching department initiative to enhance justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) are particularly encouraged to apply. 3. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues. 4. Although applicants with experience in any area of psychology/law (broadly defined) are encouraged to apply, we are especially interested in applicants whose demonstrated research productivity pertains to contemporary social issues. These issues may include, but are not limited to, biases in the criminal justice system, civil rights and racial equality, women’s and LGBTQIA2S+ rights, diversity and inclusion, and poverty and income inequality.
