Required Degree: A PhD in psychology or a related field by the appointment date.

Experience: The Department of Psychology, Brigham Young University, invites applicants of any academic rank to fill a full-time (continuing faculty status) professorial-track position in the Department of Psychology to begin Fall Semester 2022. The selected candidate will demonstrate strong research skills and an active research program with an established record of peer-reviewed publications and scholarly productivity. Successful candidates will also show commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentoring.

We specifically seek applicants in Social or Social/Health Psychology for this hiring cycle. Our department values diversity, student mentoring, a collegial culture, and the ideals of open and reproducible research. All qualified candidates, including women, people of color, and people with disabilities, are encouraged to apply.

Duties/Expectations: Selected candidates are expected to have a well-defined research agenda with professional publications, have the ability to teach upper- and lower-level undergraduate classes and graduate classes, to provide undergraduate and graduate mentoring, and to engage in citizenship responsibilities in the department, college, and university.
